Abstract:This paper expounds how seismic wave receiving effect in Sichuan mountainous district is influenced by various factors such as the filtering characteristic of surface layer,the coupling relation between ground and geophone,terrain,stratum dip,the location of spread,and so on.It is pointed out that the amelioration of geophone planting condition is the key to the improvement of coupling between ground and geophone.The paper also expounds what conditions will cause good or bad geophone planting effects,and sums up some feasible methods for improving the geophone planting condition.The reduction of the divergence of reflecting points in a CDP gather must be considered in designing a observation system.The use of split spread is suggested to shorten the maximum offset.At present,many kinds of spread can be used in seismic exploration in Sichuan mountainous district,but they must be adopted in line with local conditions.Furthermore,on a single line,the used in-line offsets can not be changed terribly,and the shotpoints must be spaced as uniform as possible.
