Abstract:Waveiet processing involves several steps, namely, wavelet estimation, the design of a shaping filter operator, and shaping filtering, Waveiet is usually estimated from acoustic Iosging data or muititrace statistics averaging,.Ps seen from estimated waveiets and downgoing direct waves recorded in bore hole,the basic shape of seismic waveiets looks like that of Ricker waveiet.Frequency error causes much greater effect on processing result than waveform error, therefore the key to good wavelet processing lies in using correct frequency.Several processing methods of shaped zero phase tapered wavelet are analysed,and their processing results a.re verified with drilling data.The conclusion is as follows,multitrace adaptive wavelet processing mPtho3 may improve the continuity and resolution of seismic section;single trace adaptive waveiet processing method hasbetter ability against seismic noises;the processing result obtained by the shaping filter oper:to which is designed from acoustic logging data and near hcle seismic traces is worse than that by the former methods; finally, the worst is the processing result obtained by the single shaping filtering operator which is designed fromknown wavelet.
