Abstract:The paper considered by analyzing 3-D practical high-density data in A area of east China that it is no necessary to put undue stress on small size when choosing bin size for improving resolution, and it's folds making more contribution to high-frequency components, which got following knowledge:①the choice of bin size should mainly start from meeting the needs of no the highest folding frequency,of lateral resolution and diffraction convergence within 30 degree of migration aperture;②in an aspect of fold selection,it should emphasize the need of S/N ratio in high-frequency end of prospecting bandwidth in major targets according to the requirement of geologic task and determine the fold required based on S/N ratio required for prospecting major targets and estimated S/N ratio of raw data.
