Abstract:Seismic data acquired in deep sea often contain strong multiple which is related to sea surface, the multiple is so strong that the primary signal is almost totally submerged in the multiple. In order for us to enhance the primary signal, how to suppress multiple is the key to achieve our goal. For the past few years many multiple suppression methods have been developed, among them the SRME method is better one as it is totally data-driven and does not need velocity, horizons and other subsurface information. After 3D SRME method was briefly introduced, the field data processing and application results using the 2D SRME and 3D SRME to suppress the multiple were displayed and compared in this paper.
