Abstract:The technique for separating fast wave from slow wave is a key technique in multi-wave processing, the polarization direction and time difference after fast wave and slow wave separation were used to conduct research and studies on the development conditions of the fractures. The time difference and polarization of the shear wave splitting were decided by fracture density and azimuth. Delay time of the fast shear wave and slow shear wave increases with fracture density's growth. Based on minimum entropy rotation, an improved angle scanning method was introduced in this paper. When applying the method in synthetic seismogram, a better results were achieved than using orthogonal rotation method, by integrating the method with exfoliation technique, the results obtained match the real situation.
