Abstract:In a process of implementing ray tracing by wave-front construction method, the smooth processing of velocity model has important influence on travel-times and ray paths of seismic waves. Selecting different smooth operators or different smooth times of same smooth operator resulted in difference for travel-times and ray paths of seismic waves, affecting the quality of migration imaging. For same velocity model, the paper adopted different smooth operators and same smooth operator with different smooth times and factors to analyze and correlate their differences in travel-times and ray paths in order to choose appropriate smooth operator and times in practical usage and get more precious ray paths and travel-times.
