Abstract:We propose the hybrid migration technique that combines finite element method with pseudospectrum method. In the operation speed, accuracy, computer's internal storage used and so on, the hybrid technique takes a compromise between the finite element method and the pseudospectrum method to become a new advanced seismic migration technique. This technique an well cope with vertical or lateral velocity variation in medium and reduce interlayer reverberation incurred from computation because it uses two-way nonreflecting wave equation to compute seismic wave field in reverse time direction. The theoretical trial says this technique is feasible for complicated wave field computation in seismic migration.
