Abstract:In seismic data processing, tomographic inver-sion static correction is a recently developed practi-cal technique. Pseudo 3-D tomographic inversionstatic correction takes the seismic data of 2-D linesas 3-D data volume. that is. computing 3-D near-surface velocity model on the basis of seismic dataof 2-D lines, then the 2-D lines statics were compu-ted, which solved the issue of mis-tie between 2-Dlines; meanwhile, produced 3一D near-surface veloc-ity model is help to study the near-surface velocityaround the position of 2-D lines. Application ofpseudo 3-D tomographic inversion static correctionto the practical 2-D data processing in Pakistan Marea showed the near-surface velocity computed by the approach is accurate, which greatly improvedthe quality of seismic sections.
