Abstract:Establishing the relationship among seismic response with space geometry and petrophysical parameters of fracture-cavern reservoir is the key to quantitative description and prediction of carbonate fracture-cavern reservoirs, and seismic response characteristics analysis is a premise of accurate imaging. Based on the numerical simulation of heterogeneous media, we discuss impacts of different acquisition parameters and imaging approaches on bead-like reflection characteristics of fracture-cavern reservoirs. Forward modeling results show that reflection energy in fracture-cavern body on seismic sections become stronger when smaller group interval and near offset stack are adopted, and that prestack migration imaging is a must for fracture-cavern reservoir analysis. In this paper, we analyze quantitatively influences of vertical scale, lateral scale, infilling types, and background factors on reflection characteristics of fracture-cavern reservoirs, and get some meaningful conclusions, which provide a scientific basis to understand reflection characteristics of actual fracture-cavern reservoirs.
