Abstract:Seismic illumination analysis has important significance for seismic acquisition geometry design.On the basis of the local similarity,we propose in this paper a data-dependent illumination analysis method.First we discuss the physical meaning of the local similarity attribute,and put forward a data-dependent seismic illumination analysis method.Then we process seismic data and obtain common image gathers.After that we calculate illumination energy of different offsets with the local similarity.So we achieve a data-dependent illumination analysis.The proposed method makes full use of the previous data information and estimates illumination of different geological bodies without geological model.The proposed method can be very helpful for improving future seismic acquisition geometry design.
