Abstract:Aiming at lower-middle ordovician vuggy dolomite and Cambrian hill beach body,we study the main control factors of hydrocarbon accumulation in Area GC with a few approaches such as seismic attributes,basin simulation,paleo-geomorphology analysis,depositional condition analysis,cap and reservoir evaluation,and fracture development time analysis. The following understandings are obtained:A. The lower-middle ordovician dolomite get gradually thiner from the west to the east with dense limestones at both side,so layered reservoirs were formed;hydrocarbon accumulation is mainly controlled by tectonic setting,faults,sedimentary facies,and dolomite reservoir physical property. B. For hill-beach bodies of Cambrian platform margin,hydrocarbon accumulation was controlled by reservoir physical properties and cap rock condition. C. Dolomites and hill-beach bodies in Area GC may have great potential for the future exploration.
