Seismic prediction of Donghe sandstone pinch-out line in Jilake,Tarim Basin

Abstract:In order to predict Donghe sandstone pinch-out line in Jilake,Tarim Basin,we propose in this paper a seismic prediction approach.The approach includes four steps:1Pinch-out line macro distribution prediction with paleo-geomorphology restoration; 2Seismic reflection characteristics determination with full-wave seismic forward modelling; 3Based on seismic attribute analysis and spectral decomposition,pinch-out line distribution prediction with thin bed indicator and peak-amplitude to peak-frequency ratio; 4Pinch-out line is quantitatively extrapolated by a quantitative relation between the angle of Donghe sandstone and underlying strata and the errors of predicted pinch-out line and real stratigraphic pinch-out line.Finally the Donghe sandstone pinch-out line is obtained.Our application in Jilake area,Tarim Basin prove that the proposed approach gets effective prediction.
