Abstract:Topography can result in distortion of MT data,bringing difficulty to later MT data interpretation.Starting from practically measured topographic data and MT data,the paper designed layered model of strata changing with complex topographic fluctuation,used finite-element algorithm to carry out simulation on sparse and dense topographic elevation data,in which the distortion relationship between TE and TM from denser topographic data model has good identity with the practically measured data.The paper improved the available ratio method of topographic correction for 2-D MT data and presented the method using layered model of strata changing with complex topographic fluctuation for topographic correction,obtaining good application results,which further demonstrated the order carrying out topographic correction and static correction,considering that the result of static correction being carried out before and after topographic correction is equivalent, but considering that the topographic factor can be predicted when processing the practical data,it's better to do topographic correction before static correction.
