Abstract:Based on geological data, well logging data and seismic data, studies on reservoir geophysical characteristics were conducted in Du Formation first Sub-formation oil-bearing sand group in Sanghe Area,Baiyinchagan Depression. It is noticed in the studies that the impedance characteristics for the sand and mudstone interbedded thin reservoir are not distinctive, thus the single reservoir prediction method does not work for reservoir prediction. However by following the regional geology trends and based on seismic multi-attribute analysis and impedance inversion, the reservoir prediction for the sand and mudstone interbedded thin reservoir were carried out by using the integrated reservoir prediction method in which information from geology, seismic survey and well logging were utilized, the method works quite well, the sand body can be easily seen on the seismic multi-attribute analysis and prediction sections, the lateral lithology thickness changes for the sand and mudstone interbedded thin reservoir can be easily recognized as well, and the prediction results and the drilling matched well.In 2008 C35 well was drilled in the Depression and oil rich reservoir was found out,in the reservoir multi-million tons of crude oil reserve is secured,so the exploration endeavor in this area is quite successful and efficient.
