Abstract:The spectrum-decomposition tuning body technique is technique that transforms the seismic data from time domain to frequency domain by discrete Fourier transform or max entropy and uses amplitude spectrum and phase spectrum to carry out geologic interpretation of seismic data in frequency domain. Using the spectrum-decomposition tuning body technique to quantitatively study the thickness of thin reservoir makes the precision of predicted thickness of thin reservoir be equivalent to that by seismic inversion, which can objectively reveal the changing feature of thin-reservoir thickness and also is characterized by rapid computation and lowly relying on logging data that is suitable to carry out reservoir prediction in the prospecting zone where the drilling data is poorer.
