Abstract:Well-logging signal is a nonstationary signal; therefore, well-logging signal can be analysed using wigner distribution (WD), which is a newly developed time-frequency domain analysis method, As a result, we can make full use of the informations from well-logging Signal in time-frequency domain, WD has quite good time-frequency resolution and keeps consistent with signal on time and frequency ranges; besides, it remains constant in the case of time and frequency shifts, These properties can be used to estimate wave velocity and to separate wavelet from well-logging signal, Furthermore, we can detect the arrival time of wavefront by making use of WD moment characteristic, The experimental results manifest that it is promising for us to apply WD to well-logging analysis.
