Abstract:S/N control deconvolution is an effective seismic data processing method which can make a compromise between S/N and resolution. The essentials of this method are as follows: ·power spectrum of effective signals is calculated, from which minimum phase wavelet is estimated using Hilbert transform or maximum entropy method;·deconvolution is performed using the estimated wavelet;·during the deconvolution, S/N power spectrum is taken as acriterion to control deconvolution result so that the high S/N frequency contents are favoured, while the low suppressed as a result, resolution is improved as much as possible in the case of permissible S/N. The seismic data of line No, 601.0 in Yonganzhen area was successfuily processed using tuffs mmethod, and its seismic section shows both desirable S/N and high resolution.
