Abstract:The horizontal resonance frequency of digital seismic geophone is defined as spurious frequency,The horizontal resonance of moving coilspring system can be considered as a nonlinear vibration of spring with soft characteristic, Because of the nonstationarity of spring suspender the horizontal resonance is coupled into vertical vibration, causing seismic signal distorted,On the basis of experiments, the spurious frequency mechanism of digital geophone is analysed, the spurious frequency concept defined, and the testing method discussed.A new horizontal vibration tester supported with steel balls is developed,The tester has simple architecture and stable performances.When it is used in wider frequncy band and speed range,its waveform distortion and vertical vibration are very low.
