Abstract:The paper uses staggering grid finite-difference numeric algorithm of wave equation to simulate the propagation wavefield surveyed by 3-Component cross-hole seismic method in VTI media. In comparison with the simulating the 2-Component seismic data, the surveyed result has neither polarized fast S-wave in Y-direction nor S-wave splitting phenomenon, only has fast and slow P-wave on X and Z component sections;and in simulation of 3-Component seismic data, the fast S-wave and S-wave splitting can be surveyed on Y-Component seismic record.Generally, the anisotropy of S-wave velocity has more distinctive feature than that of P-wave velocity in TI(transverse isotropy)media. The numeric simulation is carried out for 3-Component cross-hole seismic data practically surveyed in the S area of Daqing Oilfield, which proved the existence of fast S-wave,reasonably interpreted the wavefield propagating in VTI media on the 3-Component cross-hole seismic records, and provided basis for separation of P-wave from S-wave wavefields, analysis of P-and S-wave velocity, imaging and integrative interpretation of P-and S-waves.
