Abstract:RMS analysis technique is one of the typical QC methods used in ocean streamer seismic acquisition,by using the technique the noise strength and sensitivity of the seismic data in different time domains were analyzed in this paper,the RMS values from the time window before the first arrival,time window for the target zone and time window from the deep horizon were averaged for different keywords ,the noise strength were analyzed in detail,at the same time for the post-stack data a certain time window was taken to conduct RMS analysis,if the RMS value acquired is too small or less than a threshold,the sensitivity for the corresponding channel was regarded as not enough.The studies show that the RMS technique can be used directly in the related QC process,it could accurately reflect the noise level for the data and the sensitivity for each channel.
