Beam-focusing migration of seismic data in piedmont zone

Abstract:Using inversion technique, we decompose seismic data into independent local plane waves. Noise is attenuated and will not be involved into migration. The beam-focusing migration technique is then developed with the decomposed data and is used to image low SNR data in piedmont zone. The principles of the bean-focusing migration based on the sparse inverse are discussed. Experimental results on field data in the Block H indicate that the proposed method deserves application.
