Abstract:This paper proposes an adaptive aperture prestack time migration. We get true dip angles and dip-angle imaging area with dip angle gathers, and avoids great difficulties in directly determining dip angles with conventional methods. The adaptive aperture based on dip angles during prestack time migration ensures right structure imaging without migration noise due to aperture exaggeration, and improves signal-to-noise ratio. The proposed approach is applied to real data of Laoyemiao structures in Napu Sag,China, and good results demonstrate that the proposed approach has broad prospects in the future.
