Abstract:Based on drilling,logging data,and the geological background,seismic data in Shulu Sag,Bohai Bay Basin is interpreted in detail.Based on this,geometric characteristics,evolutions and the dynamic background of Xinhe faults in the eastern boundary of Shulu Sag are deeply analyzed.It is concluded that Xinhe faults are shovel-type normal faults with multiple periods of activity and different structural stages.Xinhe fault activity was segmented.The main was the sedimentary period of the Es3 when the fault activity was generally strong in the south and weak in the north.In the sedimentary period of the Es1-Ed formation,it was gene-rally strong in the north and south,and weak in the middle,and the northern section is the strongest.In the sedimentary period of the Es2 with weak activity,there was little difference in the fault activity rate between different locations.In the depositional periods of Ng and Nm,it was strong in the south and weak in the north.Xinhe fault controls the distribution of hydrocarbon source rocks and favorable reservoirs in trough areas,as well as the development and accumulation of buried hills,Tertiary structures,and lithologic traps.
