Abstract:The Permian of the Junggar Basin has been a key oil and gas exploration area for Xinjiang Oilfield in recent years. Because of the multiples, the imaging and stratigraphic contact relationships of the Permian interior are disorderly and conse-quently,which severely restrict the process of oil and gas exploration in the strata. Due to the complexity of land internal multiples, the desired suppression effect is difficult to achieve by a single method. Relying on the formation mechanism of multiples, this paper accurately identifies multiples with vertical seismic profile (VSP) data and well eliminates the influence of the internal multiples on the seismic imaging quality of the Permian, i.e., the main exploration target layer, in the Junggar Basin by applying the data-driven suppression method for internal multiples in GeoEast.
