Abstract:Seismic simulation is a technique that researches into hydrocarbon-bearing formation distribution by using seismic data.The essential is to iteratively solve for seismic wave field in the medium whose one part has changed.A fast method for reconstructing seismic wave field in the medium whose one part has changed is advanced on the basis of combination of finite element and finite difference methods.Hence,total wave field in the medium whose one part has changed can be obtained by reconstructing only part wave field in stead of solving for the whole forward problem every time. In the simplified solution, the computation extent is controlled so that the computation is greatly reduced arid efficiency improved. The results of geological modeling proved this method reliable.
