Abstract:Distortion phenomenon for deviated seismic height in high dipping anticline widely existed in seismic section.Based on velocity model with high dipping anticline and started from real data,the paper analyzed the causes causing seismic height departure and its rule, summarized and analyzed four factors affecting departure distance of seismic height (non-symmetrical degree of anticline,burial depth,velocity and ray-traveling path),and deduced departure distance formula of seismic height. The authors put forward a conception of "downdip direction migration" for correcting seismic height departure and use forward,inverse model and real data to explain it.The paper finally points out that prestack depth migration is good method for correcting seismic height departure,but f final results depend on processing and on an understanding level of seismic height departure phenomenon by interpreter.
