Abstract:In the development of shale oil reservoirs in the Ordos Basin, depth-domain data is used preferentially in the path design and guidance of horizontal wells to predict the changes in reservoir structure more accurately and reduce the influence of long-wavelength static correction on the local time-domain structure. The selection of velocity field construction methods plays a crucial role in determining whether the depth-domain seismic data can reflect the real inter-well structure and is accurate in reservoir prediction. GeoEast system provides several velocity-field construction methods. This study analyzes the characteristics and application conditions of these methods and compares the application effects of velocity volumes constructed by these methods in time to depth conversion. As a result, we believe that the velocity-field construction method based on the Dix formula and the velocity vo-lume establishment method based on the model interpolation component are suitable for the geological conditions of the region. Taking corresponding velocity-field construction methods according to the geological cha-racteristics of the horizontal well deployment locations, the 3D depth-domain seismic data is acquired and applied to actual production. On this basis, the path design of horizontal wells is optimized. The result shows that the drilling rate of reservoirs in the horizontal sections is improved, and the average target-point prediction error dicreased to 1.75 m, which indicates a good application effect.
