Abstract:The Jurassic formation of Saylan Sag in the South Turgay Basin has developed a set of gray sand reservoirs with fluvial facies,and the lithology is mainly composed of sand-mud interbed with thin coal seam and poor lateral continuity.The GR curve is difficult to identify coal seams from sand-mudstones,and sand-mudstones with overlapped wave impedances reduce the reservoir sensitivity.The conventional wave impedance inversion cannot ensure a fine description of reservoir distribution.Based on the pseudo-acoustic technique,the GR sensitive to sand-mudstones is used to fuse with the acoustic curve by frequency while retaining the original acoustic curve information sensitive to coal seam,so as to generate a pseudo-acoustic curve with sonic dimension that can remove the influence of coal seam and reflect reservoir characteristics and carry out wave impedance inversion.The results show that the inversion results are highly consistent with the drilling data,and the seismic inversion based on the pseudo-acoustic technique can well eliminate the influence of the coal seam and effectively depict the spatial distribution of the reservoir.
