New three-water conduction model and its application in evaluation of low porosity and low permeability reservoir

Abstract:By introducing lithological coefficient a which is related to rock's properties in saturation equation,the original three-water conduction model was developed,so the three-water conduction model's advantage in description of low porosity and low permeability was highlighted.While the new three-water conduction model generally summarizes different conductive mechanism for rock,it considers the impacts from the rock properties.When the model was applied in low porosity and low permeability reservoir and sand-shale strata,great application effects were achieved.
