Abstract:Wide-azimuth and high-density seismic exploration technology plays an increasingly important role in the exploration and development of oil and gas nowadays. The offset vector tile (OVT) technology for wide-azimuth and high-density seismic exploration is now in the stage of large-scale industrial application after years of technical development. However,the current design of high-density and wide-azimuth 3D seismic geometry does not fully consider OVT attributes. As a result,the subsequent OVT processing and five-dimensional seismic interpretation in the OVT domain are affected and the final application effect of OVT technology cannot meet the expectations. This paper studies the quantitative calculation method of OVT attribute uniformity in 3D seismic geometry. Firstly,the corresponding OVT is extracted from the 3D orthogonal observation system. Secondly,the offset and azimuth attributes of each OVT are calculated,and the average offset and azimuth of each OVT are counted as the standard value of the OVT. In addition,the mean square difference of each OVT is calculated as the OVT attribute evaluation value. Finally,OVT attributes of the 3D seismic geometry are quantitatively evaluated by the mean values and mean square difference of all OVT attribute evaluation values. The results show that the smaller corresponding value leads to better OVT attributes of the 3D seismic geometry,and the larger corresponding value results in poorer OVT attributes of the geometry.
