Abstract:Formations in our survey area located in a tectonic uplift overlaps directly with the basement structures. We cannot conduct lithologic reservoir identification on legacy seismic data with narrow bandwidth and low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), especially there are some basement carbonate buried hills. This paper discusses low-frequency data processing for new acquired seismic data with methods provided by GeoEast. We propose a full series of low-frequency processing technique such as uphole-constrained tomographic static corrections, high fidelity prestack noise attenuation, and low frequency compensation. New processing results are rich in high-fidelity and abundant low-frequency information. Thanks to this final data, basement carbonate buried hills are characterized and lithologic reservoirs are well predicted based on low frequency attributes.
